How bad does a short sale on the mortgage effect your credit?

I have excellent credit, so that doesn’t worry me too much. I’m more worried that he is just telling me this to get my business. Thanks!

I’m planning on having my garage sale on November 21-25 at 9AM-6PM. Do you think a lot of people would come between those dates? They’re off work usually. Do you think they’ll come on Thanksgiving? Any tips to improve my sales?
