Have you thought of your next holiday to America, depending on where you go, depends on if you take the kids!

America has always been the place of dreams, and when you look at what the country has to offer to us as tourists you can’t really “nay say” it. You can’t go far wrong with starting a holiday discussion on the state of Florida. Florida is the place for families, well actually it is for everyone, anything for everyone ranging from Theme Parks right the way to crazy themed night clubs.

There is so much for us to indulge in, when we take a trip to America, Florida may give us the Theme Parks, and many of them it does have, but what is there for the adult community, that don’t like fast or scary rides. Next up for you adults, is well, in the West Coast, and your off to Nevada. This is probably the only state that can be mentioned, when you know for 100% what is going to be mentioned next, of course its Las Vegas. Vegas is where adults are in their prime, the ability to almost everything and anything you want in what a lot of people refer to as Sin City. This is the Casino industry, the most powerful part of Vegas is gambling, and it is the main reason why many of us flood here in our millions.

How about the good old Fly Drive holidays, renting a car once you land in the West or East Coast of America and drive right the way through route 66. Route 66 may be known as the greatest driving holiday in the world but there are other routes that you can take on your travels through America. What about the good old wine country in California, with some great locations to visit as well, including San Fransisco, for some truly amazing theatre shows as well.

Las Vegas holidays are a fun time for all, although not recommended for the younger of people (under 21), but Christmas holidays are upon us, have you decided what your going to do?

Can’t decide where you want to go on holiday for 2010, try an Adventure holiday!

What is America good for when it comes to booking holidays there? Many people believe America is the capital of the world for gambling and theme parks, but surely there is more too it. America is the Wild West, the place where people used to own Cattle ranchers and be referred to as Cowboys.

So why is all this being disputed, what has happened to this. America is all about these. Death Valley is an amazing place to see, but spending a holiday there would be Surreal, just waking up in the middle of nowhere surrounded by Cows and horses would be an interesting experience. This holiday isn’t just an adventure, this is a holiday for you, body, soul and mind, something for you to help reflect upon.

Adventure holidays are fun for everyone, but are more suited to those that want to take something seriously. To take time off work to do more work, but fun work, and to help find yourself. This is a great way for poeple to build teams, and it’s a great confidence booster. Why not take the whole family with you, get some quality bonding time, and get stuck in learning something new. The stars at night and the cliffs during the day, and an endless expanse of open land, what else could you wish for.

Ranch holidays are another way to experience life in the Wild West. In my opinion the holiday that allows you to travel back in time and see how things used to be is amazing. What is it about these holidays that we should all be considering, is there something that they can do for us as tourists.

These holidays cannot be rivalled by anything else in the world, Las Vegas holidays are receiving millions of people every year, and these holidays should be in higher demand. Try finding a holiday that you really want to try, a relaxing one or one that takes you into the wilderness, just you, a tent and a saucepan!

The Top hotel in the world!

Have you every wondered what is the best hotel in the world, I would wager that you probably have. But by best, what do we mean by the best hotel in the world. For some this could be a hotel of good quality, that doesn’t cost that much. For others it will be hotel of stunning quality that is going to be relatively expensive.

So how are we going to measure this? Well for this we won’t be looking at the price of a room. We will simply look at the quality of these hotels, and the world wide knowledge of them. So let’s start, I have narrowed my search down to 2 hotels, one of which will be considered by most to be the number one hotel in the world, however its contender is a good possibility.

Well let’s start off with the heavy weight champion. The Burj Al Arab is without a doubt the most iconic hotel in the world, the place is like a little package of heaven. If you are ever lucky enough to visit, then make sure that you cancel all of your plans and head there ASAP. It is in the same design as a dhow sail from one of the Arabian sail vessels. The inside closely resembles a bee hive, but of extreme modern and luxurious proportions. This hotel has so much to offer any visitor, a restaurant with a sea life centre in the middle, not to mention the rooms are like small presidential mansions.

So what hotel could possibly contend with this then? Well how about the Oberoi Udaivilas, India. This is a hotel in the world famous chain of Oberon established in 1934. Not only is this recognised as one of the top luxury hotels in the world, but it has even starred in a Jams Bond film, to be precise the film “Octopussy”. Each room has its own private infinity pool and the restaurant provides some of the best cuisine in the world. This hotel also wins awards every year, and is set in some of the most glorious scenery in the world.

Dubai holidays and Indian Ocean holidays are in great demand, rivalled only by Caribbean holidays or Christmas holidays.

A guide to travelling with your ‘toys’

Maybe you are planning a romantic weekend, or possibly, you are going on a long business trip. Perhaps you are jetting off on your Honeymoon or maybe you’ve rented a dreamy chalet in the snow? Wherever you are flying-off to – you’ll need to make sure you pack your adult toys well to avoid any embarrassing (and possibly very public) situations.

So, how do you pack adult toys? Firstly, remove the batteries. Even though you may think that your vibrator is difficult to turn on, a little shift in the contents of your luggage could easily knock the control to the ON position. You really don’t want to explain vibrating luggage to security personnel or customs officers. Dildos are less of a problem in this respect as they are usually made of silicone / jelly / rubber and have no metal or mechanical parts.

Place your dildos, bullets, penis-rings, vibrators or whatever else you’ve packed – in clear plastic baggies. Airport personnel routinely go through luggage so if you’re chosen at random for a luggage inspection, you’ll be glad your toys are zip-locked away. Customs staff wear plastic gloves, but you really don’t want their gloves, which have been touching everyone else’s personal items, to touch your intimate toys too. Do the employees and yourself a favour by putting each item in a clear plastic zip baggie to keep everything hygienic.

Always place your vibrators in your checked luggage. This just removes you from the situation a little bit. If you bring a vibrator in your carry-on luggage, you are practically asking for an embarrassing situation to occur.

Bear in mind also that vibrators are not allowed in certain countries – especially if they are shaped like a phallus. If you take one in your checked luggage – you may have to go through the red channel and declare it – and it may be confiscated. One such country where ‘obscene items’ are illegal is Thailand. There, you might get away with importing a traditional slimline vibrator and pass it off as a ‘massager’ for your bad back – however, if your vibe is penis-shaped, expect that it will be confiscated!

In the USA, Texan customs officers will not be sympathetic if you arrive with a suitcase full of vibes – to own more than three such ‘marital aids’ is currently illegal in that state. Therefore, do a quick Google check of what the laws are in the particular state or country you are travelling to.

Finally, don’t travel with your favourite vibe or with your top of the range most-expensive toy. It is best that you take along an inexpensive alternative or buy something completely new especially for the trip. At sites like LoveTheRabbit.com you’ll find many pearl rabbit vibrators articles, information, raves and reviews and links to stores that stock them.

This way, if your luggage is lost, or your strap-on dildo confiscated or if your vibe breaks in transit – you will not have lost your favourite ‘friend’ or your most expensive toy. Bon voyage!

Taking Off In Your Campervan

Many people fantasise about it, but much less people take the steps to making it a reality. Packing up a campervan with all your essentials, saying goodbye to friends and family, and hitting the open road with only a vague idea of where you are going and for how long. Once you’ve been on one campervan holidays you’ll likely go on many more as they are amazing fun, but if its your first time, what are the most vital things to sort.

Van. There have been some nightmare stories of people failing to taking out reliable commercial van leasing deals and the van dying within the first few miles. If this is not some that appeals to you then it’s advisable to either purchase van and have it looked over by a professional or alternatively hire or lease a van from a well established company. Mercedes van leasing is a pretty good option as these vans are pretty sturdy and rarely break down, but always give them a good drive before you set off on your trip just to make sure everything works properly.

Money. You can never really know exactly what you will need money for on your trip and how much you will need. Take some cash for the basic requirements such as gas, food and drink, but also have some reserves safe. Its always worth having some money spare for the things you cannot preempt, such as breakdowns or injuries etc. It is also worth taking a credit card for times when you need to get your hands on larger sums of money.

Time. So you’ve got your Citroen van leasing sorted, you’ve packed it all up, now all you need is a relaxed state of mind. This is vital if you are going to enjoy yourself, as you can never account for the various hold-ups and distractions that will take place along the way on your travels. If you stop worrying about time, you’ll enjoy your trip a whole lot more.

Plymouth Weekend City Breaks and Tourist Attractions to Visit

Vacations in Britain appear to be immensely popular this year, most likely due to the economic downturn and the low value of the pound Sterling. The United Kingdom has a large number of top tourist destinations including London (the English capital) and other fascinating cities plus a collection of seaside resorts such as; Blackpool, Bognor Regis, Torquay and Weston-super-Mare. One vacation resort commonly overlooked is Plymouth in the south of England.

First appearances are that Plymouth appears rather plain and modern, but looking a little deeper and you will soon discover that Plymouth has a fascinating history and a long association with the sea. As long ago as the 16th C there has been a port in Plymouth. In fifteen eighty eight Francis Drake set sail from the town’s port to defend Britain against the Spanish Armada. Another moment in history occurred in 1620 when the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for North America.

It is possible to enjoy low cost vacations in Plymouth by staying in Plymouth bed and breakfast rather than booking rooms in a expensive hotel. A quick look online will reveal that you can book a room for as little as £29 a night and some establishments have dinners at a very reasonable cost, commonly equivalent to, or less expensive than local restaurants.

Visitors Attractions In Plymouth

There are numerous places of interest in Plymouth that are well worth visiting. Popular visitor attractions include; Merchant’s House Museum, the Mayflower Steps, St Andrew’s church and the National Marine Aquarium. A boat cruise around the waters of the port is an excellent way to spend some time but if you discover that you have more time to spare why not take a day out to other places near to Plymouth, for example; Buckland Abbey, Saltram House or Mount Edgcumbe.

Saltram House is a pretty Tudor Mansion which is located 2m east of the town of Plymouth, Mount Edgcumbe is another superb Tudor house with coastal paths, parklands and landscaped gardens, and Buckland Abbey, approximately 6 miles from Plymouth, is a Cistercian abbey which was once owned by Sir Francis Drake and was at a later date renovated as a family home.

If you and your family are in the process of deciding upon spending a few weeks in Plymouth it is immensely important that you reserve your  lodgings at your first opportunity as, unfortunately hotel accommodation in Plymouth tend to be surprisingly busy and are often fully booked for weeks or even months in advance. If your group is large you may find that serviced apartments in Plymouth are a cheaper alternative to Plymouth bed and breakfast. If you are visiting Britain from overseas then you could consider booking a room for a few days in London hotels to take in the attractions of the English capital also.

Budget Holidays in Lanzarote

The current economic doom and gloom means that some holiday makers will be staying at home this year. Rather than enjoying a sunshine break abroad.  And whilst no destination is immune many, such as Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, will still be attracting a sizeable amount of arrivals.  Despite the weak pound and economic climate.

This is great news for the tourists visiting the island as there are some great deals to be had on Lanzarote holiday villas and apartments in Lanzarote.

This figure will still be way down on previous years however.  As island tourist authorities have already recorded a 20% drop in arrivals during the first quarter of this year.  As some consumers opt to either stay at home or journey outside of the euro zone.  But many more still find that a good value break in a destination such as Lanzarote can even work out cheaper than a holiday in the UK.

Many Lanzarote apartments for example offer room rates that start from around €170 per week – which is the price per room, not per person.  With the best offers usually available on apartments in Puerto del Carmen – the largest and oldest resort on the island.  Which boasts the highest concentration of complexes of any destination on Lanzarote.

The bulk of these tend to be located in the New Town area.  Usually in close proximity to the beach (within ten minutes walking distance) and all of the other amenities of the resort.  Puerto del Carmen has also enjoyed a makeover in the last twelve months.  And now boasts a smart new beachfront promenade and an upmarket marina in the Old Town harbour area.  So further enhancing the resorts appeal.

There´s a wide selection of high quality Lanzarote villas available for rent across the island.  All offering high standards of accommodation with prices starting from around €400 per week.  For a two bedroom villa with private pool.  There are more villas in Playa Blanca, the newest destination on the island, than in any other resort.  Thanks to the fact that hundreds of overseas investors have snapped up property here in recent years to rent out to their fellow tourists.

Playa Blanca is an atmospheric and well appointed destination.  Boasting a delightful seafront promenade that stretches from one end of the resort to the other.  Along with some of the best beaches on the island and a fantastic microclimate.  Which tends to make this the most reliable choice for those in search of sun.  Visitors can even hop on a ferry and visit the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, just 6km away across the Bocaina Straits.

Visitors to the Canaries will get a warm welcome and have a fantastic holiday regardless of their choice of destination.

The New Forest National Park –Walks With The Wildlife

A beautiful day out and unmissable for adults and kids alike if you are visiting the Forest is a trip to Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary and the Ornamental Drive. A day can easily slip by in this beautiful woodland area with plenty to do for any member of the family.

In case you didn’t know the New Forest National park was once the hunting grounds of the former kings of England, and some of the ancient traditions are still practiced today by the commoners.

On arrival at Bolderwood, just as you have parked your car there is an open air green at the side of the woody area which is ideal for a picnic lunch or just to let off some steam with a game of ball. Soaking up the sun before you set off in to the woodlands or having a locally produced ice cream from the resident ice cream van in the car park.

Just inside the entrance to Bolderwood there is a marvellous woodland area with some picnic and barbeque facilities. You will also find a Forest Ranger manned information centre here which is great for getting advice and answering questions you might have about the forest. There are also some great examples of some of the foliage etc. that you will find during your visit to Bolderwood.

Once you have entered into the Woodland area at Bolderwood there is a choice of variable well marked walks you can choose from. The shortest is about half a mile long and this walk will take you past the Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary. There is a viewing platform here where you can look out across the forest to see how many deer you can spot. The forest feed some deer from here, so if you get the time just right, you can often see a many a deer feeding and grazing.

You can take the Jubilee Walk which will take you through the Bolderwood Arboretum which began in the 1800’s. The arboretum is a marvellous display of many types of trees. Many trees were very sadly lost here during storms in the 1987 and again in 1991. Further trees have been planted now and is an ongoing plan to return this part of the forest back to its original glory.

The Radnor Trail is another walk which will take you through this ancient beautiful forest, during this walk you might spot the odd Deer grazing in the distance hiding amongst the many more variety of tree species. There are many suitably placed benches to take a rest for a while and to admire the beauty of the forest surrounding you.

Cycling is a great past time throughout the whole of the forest. Bolderwood is no exception to this and it does in fact form part of the 100 mile New Forest Cycling network. The Bolderwood cycling trail is approximately 7 miles long and can take about 3 and a half hours.

Bolderwood Ornamental drive must be visited either on the way in to Bolderwood or on the way out. The ornamental drive takes you though this marvellous picturesque route around Bolderwood and during the summer it is at its most beautiful. This is a busy fairly narrow windy road however and many hikers and cyclists as well as the wildlife use it too, so take care !

If you are looking for friendly local accommodation visit New Forest cottages for local self catering holiday cottages or New Forest hotels for luxury and hotel accommodation.

Politics on Christmas

Family reunions only take place on special occasions, in my family at least. Usually on Christmas day, the entire family will get together at my grandparents house to open presents, play games, eat lots of food, and celebrate it together. This might sound like fun, for most of you, but if you knew my family, you’d hate it as much as I do. Christmas is really no time to celebrate, for me.

The political careers of nearly all my male family members don’t interest me at all, but this is all they ever talk about. I understand it’s their job, but at least on Christmas, they could talk about something else. There are my cousins around, with who I can talk, and even though I don’t have a lot of things in common with them, and they’re younger than me, it does mean I don’t have to listen to my relatives’ conversations, so it’s great.

After a couple of days, however, I ran out of things to talk to them about, and I started looking for something else to keep me occupied, while Christmas days slowly passed. Only Christmas shows and movies were on TV, and I had enough of them. Fortunately, I remembered a Christmas present I’d received several years ago and I hadn’t really used.

My iriver h10 20gb  really helped make time pass much quicker. I was finally free of having to listen to their boring conversations, and even though my parents were quite mad, because they said what I was doing was rude, I didn’t care. I was finally enjoying Christmas, thanks to my player.

When the time cam to move out of my parents house, I did, but my little player moved with me, and whenever our big family reunion is coming up, I start loading it with music, in preparation.

Scottish Vacations And 3 Interesting Places to Visit Close To Pitlochry

Vacations in Scotland are amazingly popular today due, possibly, to the strength of the US dollar against the £ making vacations to Scotland, Wales and England great value, especially if travelling from elsewhere. In the article below we take a look at three enchanting places to visit in Pitlochry, the Scottish Hydro Electric Visitor Centre, Blair Castle and the Killiecrankie Visitor Centre.

Scottish Hydro Electric Visitor Centre

A power station is a bizarre location for a tourist attraction, however this is precisely where you will discover the Scottish Hydro Electric Visitor Center. The center is located within the splendid Pitlochry Power Station, and features interactive exhibits which trace the history of hydro power in Scotland, starting in the nineteen forties to the present day. The Pitlochry Dam(built 1947-1951) also offers the thrilling chance to view the incredible salmon ladder through 3 observation areas. Within the Scottish Hydro Electric Visitor Centre, you will find interactive and audio-visual presentations which explains in detail this natural spectacle. The turbine hall of Pitlochry Hydro-Electric Power Station can also be seen from within the Visitor Center.

Blair Castle

Dating back to the thirteenth century is Blair Castle, which is the ancestral seat of the Earls and Dukes of Atholl. The construction of Blair Castle began in the year twelve sixtynine, under the leadership of the Lord of Badenoch, John I Comyn, a nearby neighbor of the Earl of Atholl. The Earl was away from home, fighting in the Crusade’s, when John I Comyn began the construction of Blair Castle on his land. When he returned, the Earl angrily complained to King Alexander III of Scotland about his neighbor, and his lands were returned. Rather than pulling down the tower than John I Comyn had built, the Earl decided to amalgamate the tower into his own castle. A Great Hall and a series of vaulted chambers were incorporated into the castle over the centuries, by  subsequent Earls. It was the 2nd Duke of Atholl who, in 1740, decided to restore the castle as a Georgian Mansion.

Killiecrankie Visitor Centre

During the Jacobite era Killiecrankie, not too far from Pitlochry, found itself filled with the crys of battle. The government soldiers were defeated by the rebel Jacobite army, under the leadership of Bonnie Dundee. During the bloody battle an escaping soldier jumped across the River Garry, which subsequently became known as, Soldier’s Leap. The area of the Pass and gorge were a favorite haunt of Queen Victoria.

To discover about the famous battle you should pay a visit to the Killiecrankie Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre has a number of otherexhibitions and services, which include; ranger service’s, a natural history of the area and guided walks and many more.

If you are considering taking a vacation in Scotland based in Pitlochry then you will discover Pitlochry hotels online by searching for “Pitlochry hotel accommodation” in your favorite search engine.
