Golf Putting Tips Videos from Lee Trevino

The legendary golfer Lee Trevino issued a series of VHS videos in the 1980s entitled Lee Trevino’s Priceless Golf Tips. Golf putting tips as well as chipping techniques are given in volume 1 in the video series. The video lasts 25 minutes and originally retailed for $19.99, but used copies can now be found on Amazon or EBay for a few dollars. Trevino is noted for his approachable and humorous style, and attempts to bring this to his series of instructional videos.

Golf Putting Tips Videos on DVD from the Dummies’ Guides

If you’re looking for something a little more this century, the Dummies Guide series has produced a DVD version of its popular Golf for Dummies title. The DVD runs 75 minutes and is hosted by the author of the original book on which it was based, Gary McCord. McCord is a former sports commentator, and so is well equipped to present a DVD such as this one. He covers swinging, putting, golf etiquette and many other topics.

The title is well reviewed on Amazon, with a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. Reviewers said that it is perfect for beginners, but that even those golfers who already have some experience may benefit from it. Amazon offers the DVD individually or as a package deal with the Golf for Dummies book and its companion title Golf Rules and Etiquette for Dummies for $41.33. Note that there is no saving with the package deal, it is the same price as buying the books and DVD individually.

Golf Putting Tips Videos on DVD from Bob Rotella

Bob Rotella is a sports psychologist whose Rotella Speaks 5-DVD set is aimed at giving golfers “the mindset of a champion”. Golfing pros sharing on putting tips in golf among many other subjects Rotella has consulted them.

As you might expect, these DVDs take a psychological approach. They concentrate less on swinging techniquesand the like than on training the mind to deliver the best possible performance. Rotella has been selected as one of the top 10 golf coaches of the 20th Century, and acted as a motivational speaker for many corporations as well as trainingprofessional athletes. The five DVDs include Rotella’s Ten Commandments, Rotella’s Rules, Ask Dr. Rotella and On The Course Volumes 1 and 2. They retail for $69.95 from Amazon and many golfing supplies websites.
